LESTER CHAMBERS Believes in Rock and Roll!

West Fest 2009 Woodstock 40th Anniversary
LESTER WILL BE PERFORMING AT THE WEST COAST
40TH ANNIVERSARY OF WOODSTOCK!!!!

Explosive Records, a boutique indy label, announces the release of legendary Lester Chambers from The Chambers Brothers new CD, “Do You Believe In Rock And Roll”. Produced by Pride Hutchison and Lester Chambers, featuring; guitar legends Waddy Wachtel (Keith Richards) and Steve Pryor (The Steve Pryor Band and The Mighty Kingsnakes), Hutch Hutchison (Bonnie Raitt) and Gary Neal (Shady Tree) on Bass and Legendary Dick Sims (Eric Clapton Band) on Hammond B-3 and piano.

His prolific songwriting lends itself to the original songs on the album and his legendary vocals bring out the best of Bob Dylan’s, I’ll Be Your Baby Tonight and songwriting team, Gordan Edwards and Gene Pistilli, Let’s Make Love One More Time .The record is an artful blend of Rock and Roll, Rhythm and Blues, Blues and Soul.

Lester who is famous for his soulful vocals and harmonica playing and signature cowbell creates an artful blend of Rock and Roll, R & B, Blues and Soul. (The first rock song to use cowbell was “Time Has Come Today”)Lester is well known to millions and is thought of as one of the most prolific lead singers of the 60’s. The chambers Brothers rendition of People Get Ready (Curtis Mayfield) is a classic and features Lester Chambers on main vocals.

A 60’s icon Lester and his brothers exploded musical history by long play compositions of some of the first and most played psychedelic hits of the 60’s. Along with their fusion of blues and gospel and their four part harmonies, this is what makes The Chambers Brothers one of the first true psychedelic rock and roll bands in music history.
